Chair for Ergonomics and Innovation - TU Chemnitz

A specialist in user-centered design of virtual technologies and the measurement of human factor related criteria of the experience level.

The 35-member team from the fields of psychology, sociology, engineering and computer science conducts research on the design of innovative interactive technologies in the field of virtual/augmented reality, among others, with a special focus on motion capturing, tactile feedback, gesture and gaze control. The professorship is specialized in user-centered design. The focus is on evaluating constructs of experience, such as user experience, acceptance, immersion and presence, comfort, trust, and emotional criteria. For this purpose, a comprehensive laboratory equipment including simulation technologies (VR/AR glasses, stereoscopic displays and projection surfaces, haptic
feedback) and measurement instruments (eye tracking, motion capturing and physiological measurement systems) is available.

Professorship Production Systems and Processes - TU Chemnitz

One of the most experienced research facilities for the development of virtual technologies

The professorship has been conducting research on virtual and augmented reality technologies for more than 20 years, in particular on visualization and the related generation and conversion of 3D models, integration with different capture systems and connection to external systems and data sources. The professorship has comprehensive competences in the field of motion capturing and the integration of individual solutions. The largest Mixed Reality research lab in Germany is available as infrastructure for the research activities.
